Vland Stands among Top 100 Science & Technology Enterprises in China Light Industry

On July 20, 2021, China Light Industry Enterprise (CLIE) Summit 2021 was held in Beijing, China. This summit was sponsored by China National Light Industry Council (CNLIC) and organized by China National Light Industry Information Center. Qingdao Vland Biotech Inc. (Vland for short) ranked No.60 among the Top 100 Science & Technology Enterprises in China Light Industry.


This ranking was determined after the comprehensive assessment of the applicants by CNLIC from 9 indicators: R&D investment, proportion of R&D investment in the total revenue, numbers of key labs, technological achievements, science and technology awards, patents, patent awards, industry standards developed and major science & technology projects joined.

Technological innovation is the core driving force for Vland’s development. With the philosophy of self-innovation in mind, Vland has been improving its technologies to increase product quality, optimize product mix and reduce production costs. In 2020, Vland invested about USD 12.4 million in R&D, accounting for 8.32% of its total revenue, which demonstrates a high level in the industry.

Until now, Vland has established 8 technology centers, 2 labs and 9 nation-level innovation platforms. Strong independent innovation capability and technical strength are at the core for Vland’s rapid development. It has stayed committed to the work of “from lab to market” with market as the orientation, development of new products and technologies as the goal and application development as the bond.

In 2020, Vland and its subsidiaries gained the titles of "Province-Level Key Laboratory” and "Shandong Provincial Technology Innovation Center for Animal Health Care Products". The research and development project titled "Heat-resistant Transformation and Industrialization Development of Feed Phytase" won the second prize of Qingdao Science and Technology Progress Award.

In 2020, Vland obtained 20 Chinese invention patents, 1 US patent and 2 PCT applications. As of 2020, Vland and its subsidiaries have been authorized 252 Chinese invention patents, 5 US patents, 1 European patent, 16 PCT applications and 37 Chinese new veterinary drug certificates of registration (including 3 certificates of Class 1 new veterinary drugs).
