Active Ingredients
The vaccine contains at least 5.0 × 103.0 TCID50 of the attenuated Pseudorabies virus (Strain Bartha-K61).
Character
Spongy and loose mass, easy to separate from the bottle wall and dissolved quickly in the diluent.
Indications
For the immunization of pigs, cattle and sheep against pseudorabies.
Onset of immunity: 6 days after vaccination;
Duration of immunity: 12 months.
Adverse Reactions
No adverse reactions.
Administration
Intramuscular injection.
Dilute the vaccine with PBS according to the doses on the label to make it 1 ml per dose.
Swine
Pregnant sows and adult pigs: 2 ml/head;
Piglets aged over 3 months, 1 ml/head;
Suckling pigs: 0.5 ml/head for the first vaccination, and 1 ml/head after weaning.
Cattle
Cattle aged over 1 year: 3.0 ml/head;
Cattle aged 5-12 months: 2.0 ml/head;
Calves aged 2-4 months: 1.0 ml/head for the first vaccination, and 2.0 ml/head after weaning.
Sheep
Sheep aged over 4 months: 1.0 ml/head.
Precautions
1. Use entire contents when first opened.
2. Topical disinfectants shall be used to prepare the skin before administration.
3. Vaccinate pregnant sows 21-28 days before farrowing. The maternal antibody half-life in the piglets is 21-28 days, after which revaccinate the piglets or weaned piglets. Vaccinate the piglets delivered by unvaccinated sows within 7 days after birth and revaccinate after weaning.
4. Used in the affected area and areas of risks. In addition to those which have been attacked, the livestock in affected areas without clinical signs can also be vaccinated in emergency.
5. The used vaccine bottles, utensils and leftover vaccines shall be treated innocuously.
